This Privacy Policy explains how Indexes ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or use our custom index builder and tracker. We aim to be plain and honest about what we do with data. Indexes is an informational and educational analysis tool only. It is not investment advice, it is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser, and it never places trades or holds money.

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and a verification code we send to confirm it. If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and message. We also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page that referred you, along with any UTM parameters in the link you arrived from.

Index data you create

When you build an index, we store the holdings you choose, the weights you set, and the benchmarks you track against, so we can backtest the index against historical market data and show you how it moves over time. Backtests are hypothetical historical performance based on real market data, presented for study only. We never connect to a brokerage, place trades, or hold, move, or custody any money or assets. Nothing you do in Indexes results in a transaction. All figures are in US dollars.

How we use information

  • To create and secure your account and confirm your email.
  • To build, backtest, and track the indexes you create and send you product communications about your access.
  • To respond to your messages and provide support.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site and platform (for example, email delivery, market-data providers, and analytics), under contracts that require them to protect it, or where required by law.

Data retention

We keep account, index, and contact information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. Because Indexes analyzes market data rather than transacting, we never connect to your brokerage and never have the ability to move money. Enterprise plans add SSO, audit logging, and additional deployment options.

Indexes is informational and educational only. Nothing on the site or in the product is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and no output is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset. Backtests are hypothetical historical performance and past performance does not guarantee future results. You are responsible for your own decisions.

Your choices
