DIY Index Fund: Model, Backtest, and Track Your Own Basket
Off-the-shelf funds hold hundreds of names you never chose. With Indexes you model the basket yourself, backtest the weighting, and track it against a benchmark, keeping the whole thing as analysis you control.
Educational only · Never places a trade
In short
A DIY index fund is a basket of holdings you define and weight yourself instead of buying a prepackaged fund, and Indexes gives you the workflow to model, backtest, and track it. You add the stocks or the tokens you want, set each weight, and Indexes rolls them into a single index. It then backtests that index against real historical data, presenting hypothetical historical performance beside a benchmark such as the S&P 500 or BTC so you can study how the weighting would have moved. From there you track the index daily and see the gap against the benchmark over time. Indexes is informational and educational only, not investment advice. It places no trades, connects to no brokerage, and holds no money, so there is no account minimum and it is usable globally. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and a backtest illustrates the past rather than forecasting the future.
Why it fits
Hands-on investors who would rather define and weight their own basket than buy a packaged fund, and want it backtested and tracked as analysis.
Model before you commit
Assemble a weighted basket of stocks or crypto and see it as one index, so you are studying a defined set of rules rather than a loose watchlist.
Backtest the weighting
Run your basket against real market history as hypothetical historical performance, side by side with a benchmark, to understand how the rules behaved over past cycles.
Track it, never trade it
Follow the index against the S&P 500 or BTC over time. Indexes analyzes only: no brokerage, no account minimum, no money held, no trade ever placed.
