These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Indexes website and platform. By using our services you agree to these Terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for the information you provide and for activity under your account. You must give an accurate email address and keep your access credentials secure.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access data you are not authorized to, interfering with the platform, reverse-engineering it, or using it to violate any law or third-party right.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis as shown at signup, in US dollars. There is no account minimum. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or under any money-back period we offer. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

Your data and ownership

You retain all rights to the indexes you build and the configuration you create. We use the holdings, weights, and benchmarks you enter solely to build, backtest, and track your index and provide the service. We claim no ownership over your indexes or configuration.

Informational and educational only

Indexes is an analysis tool that lets you build a weighted index, backtest it against historical market data, and track it against a benchmark. It is informational and educational only. It is not investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and it is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Indexes never places, executes, or facilitates a trade, never connects to a brokerage, and never holds, moves, or custodies money or assets. Backtests are hypothetical historical performance based on real market data, and past performance does not guarantee future results. No output is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.

Service availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and Enterprise plans may include specific service-level agreements.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including any warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of market data or backtest results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Indexes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any investment decision you make, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, we will delete or return your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
