Refund Policy
In force from October 14, 2026
Indexes plans are paid in advance and the payment is final. Outside the three situations listed under "When money is returned", nothing is refunded, in full or in part. This page belongs to our Terms of Service.
Try before you pay
The interactive demo on the home page lets you weight a basket of stocks or crypto, run it against market history and compare it with a benchmark, without an account. The pricing page sets out the number of indexes, backtest depth, tracking and seats each plan includes. Judge the tool there, before checkout, because the purchase itself cannot be undone.
Why a payment is final
A plan is a subscription to the platform for a month or a year. You are buying the right to build, backtest and track indexes during that period, and that right is fully yours from the first day of it. An index you never opened and a backtest you never ran cost the same as heavy daily use.
Checking out is your request that we begin the service at once. Where a cooling-off period or statutory right of withdrawal would otherwise apply, you accept that it no longer applies once the service has started at your request.
When money is returned
We return a charge in three situations only. Each must be supported by our billing and account records, and the refund never goes beyond the charge in question.
- Charged twice by mistake. Our billing took two payments for one and the same period.
- A charge you did not make, proven by the records. Someone used your card without permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and the transaction and account history confirm it. Saying so is not enough on its own; we may also ask for confirmation that you reported the card misuse to its issuing bank.
- The platform was down completely. A fault on our side, confirmed by us, left Indexes entirely unusable for an unbroken period, you told us about it while it lasted, and we could not restore it. Delayed or incomplete market data, slow backtests, and issues with your own browser, device or connection are not a complete outage.
The refund is paid to the card that was charged and is capped at what you paid for the period affected. It is the whole of our liability for that charge and does not make a further refund due later.
Not a reason for a refund
- Your index underperformed its benchmark, a backtest looked better than live tracking, or a market move went against you. Indexes is an analysis tool, and results are hypothetical.
- Market data for a ticker or coin was delayed, missing or later revised.
- You built fewer indexes than the plan allows, or did not log in during the period.
- You changed your mind, finished the analysis you needed, or moved to another tool.
- A capability you expected is not on the pricing page, or works differently from your assumption.
- You chose the wrong plan, the wrong billing cycle or more seats than needed.
- You believed you were making a one-off payment. Every plan renews, which the pricing page, checkout, receipt email and account billing page all state.
- A renewal was charged because you did not cancel in time, or you cancelled shortly after it was charged.
- Another person used your account with your login details.
Cancelling and renewals
Plans renew automatically. You can cancel yourself, at any time, from the billing page of your account. Cancelling turns off all future renewals at once; the indexes and tracking stay available until the end of the period you have paid for, and unused days are not credited back.
Each new period is due on the day it begins, since your access for it begins that day. A declined card does not erase the amount: the same invoice is retried over the following days, and those retries are not additional charges. Cancelling during a retry stops later periods only, and the period already begun stays payable and non-refundable. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date on your billing page.
Asking for a refund
Send an email to [email protected] from your account address within 14 days of the charge, stating the date, the amount and which of the three situations applies. Requests sent later, from a different address or by any other route are not reviewed. We handle them in order of arrival, do not commit to a reply time, and do not reopen a request once declined.
What we keep on record
For every subscription we store the plan and price shown at checkout, when you accepted the Terms, the emails sent to you, and an activity log of the account: sign-ins, indexes created and edited, backtests run, exports and seat changes, with the technical data recorded alongside them. Our payment operator keeps its own record of each charge, including the country that issued the card, where the payment came from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure.
If you open a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first, you breach our Terms. We provide these records to the card issuer and close the account permanently.
